Miyuki was born in Tokyo, Japan. Her crafty mother and strict grandmother impacted her work. She earned B.F.A. in interior design at Osaka University of Art, Japan.
She came to the U.S. in 2000 to study English, somehow, she is still in the U.S.
She graduated from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with M.F.A. in Fiberart, and she lives in West Virginia and teaches teaches at Marshall University.
